Idaho Hunting Adventure

This Idaho hunting adventure
takes place in popular areas of Idaho and offers hunting for Elk, Deer and
Mountain Lion. They acquired a new area in late 2002 and have been operating
there since spring of 2003. The new hunting location is southwest of Challis,
Idaho near the East Fork of the Salmon River in the Yankee Fork Ranger District
of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. This company brings nearly 40 years of
guiding and outfitting experience to this new endeavor. Your guides grew up in
this area, and he know it very well. The area is well known to have a great
bull-cow ratio, and trophy bulls. With all their years of outfitting and guiding
experience, they can provide you with a "trip of a lifetime".

Elk Hunts
|
 |
Hunt with
us in a challenging mountainous setting of mixed
sagebrush and pine forest for mature bulls. Our hunting
area is listed by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game
to have one of the highest bull-cow ratios in the state.
The country is very open with great visibility.
Our plans
for elk hunting include: 2 Unlimited Archery
hunts, 2 Rifle - Controlled Permit Bull Hunts, and
several Permit Cow Elk hunts. A maximum of 4 hunters
will be on each hunt. Because these are prime hunts and
fill up early, book your hunt as early as possible.
All of the
archery hunts and the first rifle hunt will be during
the prime bugling period. Calling will be the preferred
technique during this period. The later hunts will
combine some calling, spot and stalk, and tracking. All
of our veteran guides are well trained in these hunting
methods.
8 Day
Guided Archery Elk Hunts
Our area
opens for unlimited archery hunts in late August through
September. These hunts are during the bugle season and
rut. This is some of the most exciting hunting in North
America. You can expect to see and hear lots of bulls
while hunting at this time. This hunt is for either sex.

Mountain Lion
Hunts
|
 |
Mountain
Lion are abundant in our hunting area. These are
hunts that depend heavily on favorable weather
conditions, but with good snow cover, success on
past lion hunts has been excellent. This is truly an
adventure, hunting behind hounds, and enjoying the
chase in a beautiful mountainous area. Be in shape
for this one, terrain varies from moderate to very
difficult and we will be on foot or snowshoes for
the hunt. We will begin our lion hunting in
December, and run these hunts through January. These
hunts will be conducted out of a local motel in
Challis, Idaho. Lunch will be provided, but all
other meals and lodging are the responsibility of
the hunter. All hunts are 8 days in length. Lion
hunts will be booked for a specific date, unless
other arrangements are made.

Mule Deer
|
 |
In
2005 , the Idaho Fish & Game extended the mule deer season in
our area by one week. This allowed a longer season than we had
experienced in many years. This one week extension made a huge
diffrerence in the numbers of big bucks seen, as the weather put
the big bucks on the move. On this hunt we enjoyed very good
success with 3 of the 4 hunters taking very nice bucks and the
4th hunter being just happy to be on the hunt. This hunt was so
enjoyable that the fellow that set up the hunt rebooked a group
for this hunt in 2006. This hunt can be combined with a cow elk
hunt. In 2007 the season was moved back to an earlier closing,
so a deer hunt was not offered.
Our Deer
Hunts are pending the results of the setting of the season by
Idaho Fish and Game in March. If the season is moved
back through the end of October, we will offer a dedicated Deer
Hunt, the last week of October. Check the web site or contact us
after March for further information.
